SIP Trunking

Description SIP trunking enables the end point’s PBX to send and receive calls via Internet. As SIP is applied for the signalling protocol for multiple real-time application, SIP trunk is able to control voice, video and messaging applications.

Gateways

Gateways are the point of contact for your PBX when sending and receiving calls. They are created and hosted on Intermedia's reliable cloud network. We manage keeping them up, available, and connected to the c Telephone Network.

Endpoints

Endpoints represent a device that makes or receives calls via your Gateway. This could be a physical IP phone, a softphone app on a PC or smartphone, an Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA) or a PBX system.

Trunks

Trunks represent the connection between your Endpoints and your Gateway. They control whether inbound and outbound calls are enabled, as well as the number of Channels (or call paths) you have available to you.
